After much of discussions and meetings, BCCI has given nod to India’s Tour of South Africa, scheduled to be played from December 2021 to January 2022. However, the tour which also comprised of the T20 series will be played later on, as per the statement of BCCI official Jay Shah.
There would have no issues with the tour and it would have been a smooth run. However, the arrival of the deadly Omicron Virus which originated from Africa region. Thereby, players need to have strict bio bubble and more quarantine period, which eventually lead to reschedulling of the tournamnet.

“BCCI has confirmed CSA that the Indian team will travel for three Tests and three ODIs. The remaining four T20Is will be played at a later date,” Shah told ANI.
The matches are likely to be held behind closed doors but for Cricket South Africa, their financial health depends on the India team’s visit as multi-million dollar TV rights are at stake.
