India is in favour of the UNGA’s call for a ceasefire in Gaza; Israel and the US dispute on the number of casualties.In its fight against Hamas, Israel is facing increasing diplomatic isolation following the overwhelming endorsement of the United Nations General Assembly, which comprises 193 member states, for a quick ceasefire in Gaza. President Joe Biden issued a warning to Israel on the loss of support due to the “indiscriminate” bombing of people in the besieged Palestinian enclave, despite the US voting against the resolution endorsed by the assembly.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, was warned by Vice President Joe Biden to restructure his hard-right-leaning administration before the UNGA vote, or face losing support from other countries for its offensive against Hamas.
