The Indian team has been announced for the tour of Sri Lanka. Sikhar Dhawan will be the captain of Team India’s tour of Sri Lanka as announced on Thursday. The All India Senior Selection Committee has announced the team. Fast bowler Bhubaneswar Kumar has been named the team’s vice-captain. The Indian cricket team will play three ODIs and three T20I matches in Sri Lanka from July 13 to 25.
Nitish Rana got his first chance in the 20-member Indian team. Apart from him, Devdatta Padikal and Rituraj Gaikwad have also been included in the team. The team selected for the tour of Sri Lanka included fast bowler Chetan Sakaria, while all-rounder Kushna Gautam was also included. Team India has four net bowlers. Ishan Porol, Sandeep Warrier, Arshdeep Singh, Sai Kishore and Simranjit Singh have been selected as net bowlers.
