The Special Investigation team, set by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to investigate assault and torment in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras, has been given 10 additional days to present the status report to the CM.
The Uttar Pradesh government extended time given to SIT, which was required to present the status report for the situation on Wednesday, to present its discoveries by 10 days.
“Following the sets of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the time given to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to present their report to the CM has been extended by 10 days,” Awanish K Awasthi, State Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department was cited.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had on September 30 established a SIT to test the Hathras case in the midst of cross country shock.
The SIT is driven by UP Home Secretary Bhagwan Swarup and DIG Chandraprakash and commandant PAC Agra, Poonam, are its individuals.
According to reports, the SIT board on Tuesday visited the area of the crime and the incineration. Joined by a forensic master, the group visited through the field where the crime occurred and visited the spot where the lady was incinerated.
The Dalit lady from Hathras succumbed at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital to the wounds she attacked by four upper caste men in her town in Hathras region on September 14. The four are in custody.
