Team India is all set to play the fifth test match which was postponed last year due to COVID in England. While since then Virat Kohli has resigned from captaincy from all three formats of the game, Rohit Sharma has been appointed as all three formats. Thereby, Rohit Sharma is all set to become the captain of the fifth test against England in England.
However, just a few days before the test, Rohit Sharma has been tested positive for COVID virus. With no presence of Lokesh Rahul as well, Jasprit Bumrah might become the first bowler captain of test cricket in 35 years.
The fifth test starts from 1s of July. After the test, team India will also play 3 ODIs and 3 T20s against England as well.
