Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, who won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi constituency as a BJP candidate, continues to balance her political and film careers. In a recent Instagram Story, she offered a sneak peek into her day at the Parliament, capturing a candid moment with fellow ministers after a session was adjourned. Dressed in a light orange saree, Kangana shared that the session was paused until 2 PM, adding the hashtag #ParliamentDay.

Kangana’s electoral debut in 2024 saw her defeat Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh by a margin of 74,755 votes, securing 537,002 votes against his 462,267. Following her victory, she expressed gratitude to the people of Mandi, calling it a triumph of trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.

On the cinematic front, Kangana was last seen in her directorial debut, Emergency, where she portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film, produced under her banner Manikarnika Films, explores the 1975-77 Emergency period imposed by the Congress government and is available for streaming on Netflix.
