Know the most expensive Retail market in India

According to a survey by real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield, Delhi’s Khan Market has become the most expensive retail market in India. It secured the 22nd position in the global list of main street markets, with a 3 percent year-over-year (YoY) gain in its rentals.”Khan Market in Delhi is one of the top 25 priciest main street markets worldwide. Khan Market rated 22nd on the coveted global main street list, with pre-pandemic to present increase (during September quarter) at 7% and a 3% year-on-year growth in rent in terms of INR, according to a statement from Cushman & Wakefield.

Apart from that, Istiklal Street in Istanbul made the largest leap, moving up to the 20th position from the 31st. The primary cause of this is inflation, which has caused rents to double.The scarcity of space in quality-grade retail malls has helped Indian main streets, particularly the well-known ones, according to Saurabh Shatdal, Managing Director, Capital Markets, Cushman & Wakefield India. Year over year, main street rentals have increased by 10%.

The research listed Khan Market (ranked 22nd), Connaught Place (30th), Mumbai’s Linking Road (ranked 33rd), Gurugram’s Galleria Market (ranked 31st), and Kolkata’s Park Street (ranked 37th) as the top five most costly main streets in India in the APAC region.The most expensive shopping destination in the world continues to be Fifth Avenue in New York. Via Montenapoleone in Milan moved up to the second slot, pushing Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong down to the third spot. The Avenues des Champs-Elysees in Paris and New Bond Street in London held the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
