Manushi Chhillar: I Dress for Myself, Not Others, So I Feel No Pressure

Model-turned-actor Manushi Chhillar, who made waves after winning the Miss World 2017 title, continues to impress with her impeccable fashion choices. In an exclusive shoot with HT City Showstoppers, she shared her thoughts on fashion, social media, and staying true to herself.

Talking about her approach to dressing, Manushi revealed that she never feels pressure to dress for others. “I dress up for myself, not for people, so I don’t feel any pressure,” she said, emphasizing that personal style should be about self-expression rather than external validation.

While she has been in the limelight for years, Manushi also reflected on her evolving relationship with social media. She admitted that in the beginning, she took it very seriously but later took a step back. “After a while, I took a break from all my social media accounts, only to realize the world is a different place. People are not as negative as they seem on social media,” she shared.

She observed that in real life, people are much kinder and more helpful than how they often appear online. “I walk into a shop, it doesn’t matter if I am wearing a cap or anything… people are actually kind. They are not at each other’s necks, the way I see it sometimes on social media,” she added.

Manushi urged people to stop taking social media too seriously, acknowledging that negativity thrives online because negative opinions generate more traction. “You have to realize that a lot of people put out negative things about celebrities just because it gets more engagement,” she explained.

With a grounded outlook on fame and an effortless sense of style, Manushi Chhillar continues to be a fashion and lifestyle inspiration for many.
