Meterorite hits a woman

Something else to be terrified of? Imagine enjoying a pleasant weekend morning on your rooftop with friends when *BAMMM* a meteorite in the form of little rocks strikes you. You might find it difficult to believe, yet a village in eastern France called Alsace reported this extraordinarily unusual occurrence.Les Dernieres Nouvelles d’Alsace (DNA), a French newspaper, said that the woman was struck in the ribs by an unknown rock.I could hear a loud ‘Poom’ coming from the roof next to us. I experienced a shock to the ribs in the second that followed. The woman was said to have said, “I thought it was an animal, a bat!”

“We initially believed it to be a fragment of the cement we use to adhere the ridge tiles. But the colour was missing. She had the rock examined by a local roofer so she could figure out what had stuck her, and he indicated it might be a meteorite. She then had the rock analysed by geologist Dr. Thierry Rebmann, who verified the object’s extraterrestrial provenance.Rebmann was mentioned in the local newspaper as claiming that the rock might be a meteorite because it appeared to contain a combination of iron and silicon. The study stated that all of the meteorite fragments that have been found weighed more than 100 gms.

In space, a huge variety of minerals are floating. It is not true that all meteorites are merely “space rocks” with a gravelly appearance. The meteorite’s composition has a significant impact on its value. This means that lovely stones like pallasites, which can look incredibly sparkling when polished, contain crystals. The price per gramme for those can go all the way up to $40.
Rarer stones, in good condition, can sell for up to $1000 per gramme. We can categorically state that the woman did almost become a billionaire while seated at home!
