Union Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the missed call facility for booking LPG refills and registration of new connections as a New Year gift to the country.
Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that the LPG penetration in India is almost 99% up from 55.9% in 2014; now, the system is looking to make this a kitchen-friendly fuel accessible to all. In line with the concept for a Digital India, the missed call facility will play a significant role in making LPG more easily accessible to the consumers. The consumer needs more advantage and comfortable facility, and with the pandemic situation, the missed call facility will give more flexibility to the customer.
He further said- “The Petroleum Ministry has always endeavored to enhance customer satisfaction, and this facility by Indian Oil will play a pivotal role in making LPG more easily approachable.”
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), in an official statement, stated that the Indian Oil’s Missed Call facility for its Indane LPG customers for booking refills will now be available across the country by giving a missed call to 8454955555.
The IOCL, in their official statement, said that the Prospective customers could also register for a new connection by giving a missed call to the same number. Currently, writing new connections is available only in Bhubaneswar and will soon be rolled out to the rest of the country.
