More Than 10.70 Lakh Odisha Farmers Benefitted Of Paddy Procurement During KMS 2021-22

More than 10.70 lakh farmers from Odisha have benefited by the paddy procurement carried out during the ongoing Kharif Marketing Season (KMS). According to the data released by the Union Government, as many as 10,70,693 farmers from the State have reaped the benefits of paddy procurement during KMS 2021-22.

According to the official reports, Odisha stands second in terms of farmers benefitted by the paddy procurement process, behind Chattisgarh which topped the list with little more than 21.05 lakh beneficiaries. Third in the list was Telengana where 10.62 lakh farmers got direct benefits of the ongoing paddy procurement process.

Further the report added that overall, 94.15 lakh farmers have benefitted with MSP value of Rs 1,36,350.74 crore from across Odisha, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, Tripura, Bihar, Maharashtra, Pudducherry, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
