Odisha Renews MoU With PMSRF To Extend Free Cardiac Treatment For Poor Children


For the expansion of free cardiac treatment aids to the poor and destitute children of Odisha, an MoU by the Odisha Government was signed. The MoU was with Prasanti Medical Services and Research Foundation.

The treatment service will be for two years at Satya Sai Heart Hospital in Ahmadabad. While the MoU was signed along with Odisha’s Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Justice Vineet Saran, Judge, Supreme Court; Mohammad Rafiq, Chief Justice of Orissa High Court; Justice Kalpesh Jhaveri, Former Chief Justice of Odisha and Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Das were presented.

 In 2018 the first contract was signed with the hospital where the State Government catalogues and carries the transport cost of ill children, completely free of charge. As per the record, around 1019 children have sustained cardiac surgery and healed for their heart illnesses.  Due to Coronavirus pandemic, the next batch was not able to send, but soon children with cardiac ailments will be sent for treatment.

CM Naveen Patnaik stated that the Odisha Government is very much committed and will make all the efforts for the healthcare of the people of Odisha. The under-privileged in an impartial, accessible, affordable, transparent and time-bound equitable, accessible, affordable, transparent and time-bound manner will also be taken care off.
