Pratap Sarangi, a former union minister and member of the BJP, was released on Tuesday after being treated at Balasore’s Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital (FMMCH) for chest trouble. He has been directed to AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, for better care. “I had been going to the hospital every seven to eight days because I was having chest trouble. I also took medicine. But the day before yesterday, I had a high temperature. On the recommendation of the physicians, I went to the hospital yesterday and was admitted. The doctors have recommended that I visit AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, today, the parliamentarian stated.
Dr. Dulalsen Jagdev, the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), Balasore, stated to reporters that “His health status is stable. He is adamant that he doesn’t need to visit AIIMS because he is doing great. But because he is our MP, we are hoping for a quick recovery for him. We are recommending him to AIIMS since they have superior facilities for heart patients there. Referring to the top medical facility is also supported by the district administration. We have done everything possible to move him. He is being accompanied by a medical team from the FMMCH and other officials.
