The Mumbai Police arrested Sukkha, a shooter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in Sector 29 of Panipat with help from local authorities. According to news agency IANS, he was apprehended in Haryana’s Panipat in connection with the shooting incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. The police stated that he will be presented in court on Thursday after being transported to Navi Mumbai.
In June, authorities revealed they had uncovered a plot to target Salman Khan as he traveled to his farmhouse near Panvel in Navi Mumbai. This followed a shooting incident outside his Bandra home in April 2024.
Earlier this year, Salman Khan informed the police that he believed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the firing at his residence, intending to kill him and his family, according to news agency ANI.The actor’s statement is included in the charge sheet submitted by the Mumbai Police to a court regarding the incident.
In January 2024, two unidentified individuals attempted to trespass onto his farmhouse near Panvel using false identities, the actor reported.
