Neal Mohan- The New Indian Origin CEO of Youtube

Neal Mohan, an Indian-American, is in line to succeed Susan Wojcicki as the next chief executive officer (CEO) of YouTube after she announced her resignation on Thursday.In a blog post, Wojcicki, 54, stated that she will prioritise “family, health, and personal projects I’m passionate about.” In 2014, Wojcicki was appointed CEO of YouTube after serving as senior vice president for ad products at Google.

On the other side, Mohan had joined Google when DoubleClick was acquired in 2007. In 2015, he was appointed Chief Product Officer of YouTube. He holds a Stanford University degree in electrical engineering. He will join a growing group of CEOs of US-based multinational corporations who are of Indian descent, including Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, Shantanu Narayen, the CEO of Adobe, and Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Alphabet. Before leaving her position as CEO of PepsiCo in 2018, Indra Nooyi had been there for 12 years.
