Odisha Adds 3.43 Lakh New Beneficiaries To PM-KISAN Through Saturation Drive

Through a special saturation push, the Odisha government has successfully added 3,43,447 new beneficiaries to the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, ensuring that no eligible farmer is left out. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s announcement to find and include farmers who had previously been left out of the program despite being qualified for it prompted this action.

“The Chief Minister had announced a special drive to identify and include eligible beneficiaries who were left out of PM-KISAN. As a result of our saturation drive, 3,43,447 more farmers will now receive the benefits of the scheme compared to last time,” informed Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Principal Secretary of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment addressing reporters in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

The Agriculture Department has created a special web site to guarantee openness and expedite the procedure. Despite being qualified, farmers who were not included in PM-KISAN or the state’s CM-KISAN program can now apply online to be included. The goal of this digital project is to expedite beneficiary identification and streamline the application procedure. The Central Government’s PM-KISAN program offers small and marginal farmers ₹6,000 in annual cash aid in three payments.
