At the 148th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), presided over by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, the Odisha government approved 23 proposals for the establishment of industrial projects totaling Rs 4,573.87 crore. These projects could create 22,873 jobs in the state.
The approved projects represent a diverse mix of sectors including Information Technology & ITES, Green Energy Equipment, Battery & Energy Storage, Chemicals, Textile & Apparel, Food Processing, Steel Downstream, Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices, Infrastructure, Healthcare and Tourism, reflecting Odisha’s continued efforts to promote balanced industrial development and attract investments in both traditional and emerging sectors. Officials said the projects are proposed to be established across 11 districts Anugola, Balangir, Kataka, Ganjam, Jajpur, Kendujhar, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Puri and Sundaragada. further expanding industrial activities across different regions of the State and creating employment opportunities at the local level.
