Bhubaneswar: MD of IPICPL highlighted the state as the best state in the country in the cost of doing business and facilities. This conclave was organized in Bhubaneswar here on Wednesday. Talking at the Manufacturing conclave he further added that initially Odisha traditionally considered as Metal based Industry state. But now the state diversifying into other sectors as well. Especially State doing great with IT filed and food processing as well.
The labor cost of our state is very much skill and competitive. The main focus of the state govt is to reskill, State also providing appropriate incentives as well. Odisha State Development Council at ASSOCHAM pointed that-Odisha’s Impressive Manufacturing sector, Contributing to 14.42 percent GDP. with an Exceptional growth rate of 7.82% surpassing national averages. It was also noted by him that-An influx of INR 4,74 lakh core in investments between 2015-22.
The primary objective of this discussion was focusing discussions around ESG, circularity smart logistics, and advance digitization. ASSOCHAM chairman and Manufacturing Hub Council, Arijit Basu, Eastern Region, highlighted the steady growth in the Gross Value Added by the manufacturing sector in India, projected to reach US $266.40 billion in 2024, with a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 8.21% in the next five years (2024-2028). He also noted the industrial output, expected to amount to US $1,360.00 billion in 2024, with an annual production growth rate of approximately 4.7% in 2023.
Ms,Perminder Jeet Kaur, The senior Director at ASSOCHAM also remarked, Out state Odisha has given the startup leaders in the world, who have revolutionized business practices.
