A government doctor from the district of Nayagrah has been caught red-handed while practising privately at a clinic in his own home. Along with the doctor, two other associates have also been detained due to the same reason.
The incident came to light after a raid conducted by the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) after receiving complaints against the doctor identified as Asish Dixit. Dixit, who is a paediatrician posted at the DHH was running a clinic from his official quarters and collecting Rs 300 towards fees from each patient.
CDMO Makaranda Beura conducted a surprised raid and caught Dixit in the act. Subsequently, Dixit and his associates were detained at the Medical outpost.
