An examination into claims of anomalies in the state’s usage of funds from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) has been launched by the Odisha government. Odisha Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena informed the media that an inquiry has been opened in response to claims that DMF monies have been embezzled in the state.
Jena declared that the state government would uphold the zero-tolerance policy for corruption, adding that the government’s goal is to guarantee total transparency and stop any financial irregularities, especially when handling DMF monies. According to him, there have been claims of DMF money misuse in some districts. The matter is being fully investigated, and necessary action will be taken in light of the results.
Jena went on to state that the administration will not accept corruption of any kind in any field. There will be no place for the misuse of public funds, and the administration is taking steps to stop financial irregularities.
