In order to allow Habisiyalis to observe Kartik Brata during the holy Hindu month of Kartik, the Odisha government sanctioned an expenditure of Rs 2,57,50,000. In addition to authorizing the funds, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj has stated that all facilities and preparations would be given for habisiyalis to observe Kartik Brata.

According to Minister Suraj, the government intends to take a number of actions to streamline the planning for the month-long safe stay of havisiyalis at several havisiyali facilities in Puri, as well as for the serving of Mahaprasad, Bhajan-Kirtan, and other cultural events. Suraj continued, “Enormous preparations will be made to guarantee that the habisiyalis encounter no difficulties of any kind during the holy month of Kartik.”

It is noteworthy to emphasize that this year’s Kartik holy month begins on October 18. The number of pilgrims visiting Puri grows at this time, and the government makes arrangements for cars to transport habisiyalis so they may see Lord Jagannath, deploys volunteers, maintains peace and order, and provides clean water, power, and other necessities.
