The dearness allowance (DA) for Odisha government workers would increase by 3%. This declaration was made by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The DA for state government employees has increased from 50% to 53% following the CM’s statement.
According to the CM’s statement, the increase will take effect on July 1, 2024, and employees’ current October salary will include the expanded DA as cash.
Aside from that, the state government increased retirees’ dearness assistance (TI) by 3%. The higher TI will be paid to the pensioners from their October pension. Notably, up to 7.5 lakh state government employees and pensioners would profit from this government move.
