The Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation aims to provide irrigation facilities to 9 lakh hectares across the state over the next five years, Managing Director Swadha Dev Singh announced at a recent corporation meeting. The monthly meeting, attended by Executive Engineers from all districts, reviewed the progress of ongoing projects. The five-year plan has been finalized by the State Government’s Water Resources Department.
Singh called for completing all tender procedures as soon as possible, expediting new appointments, and speeding up the completion of current initiatives. She also underlined the need of paying retiring employees’ outstanding debts right away. Negotiations with the RPF Commission on increased pension arrangements were among the issues raised by the Managing Director. Senior officials, including Executive Director Bichitra Kumar Samal, also attended the meeting.
