Odisha Poised To Become India’s Largest Investment Hub

Citing the enormous response to the two-day Odisha Investors’ Meet and Roadshow in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Monday that Odisha is well on its way to become India’s greatest investment destination. Following his return, the Chief Minister spoke to the media at the Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Centre and stated that the conversations with investors had strengthened their confidence in Odisha’s economic potential and governance structure.

The Chief Minister called the experience “extremely satisfying” and stated that the Hyderabad roadshow amply illustrated the increasing trust of investors in Odisha. He pointed out that the state’s industrial journey—from unrealized promise to tangible implementation—has acquired impressive momentum and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership for this change.

The Chief Minister said that Odisha’s successful industrialization program was made possible by the Prime Minister’s “Midas touch.” The Chief Minister’s extensive investor outreach campaign included the Hyderabad tour. The Odisha government held two sector-specific roundtable talks and seventy-three high-level sessions over the course of two days. Eight top pharmaceutical firms participated in one roundtable, which was centered on the pharmaceutical industry, while representatives from 27 defense-related businesses participated in the second.

Despite the fact that Odisha’s defense and pharmaceutical industries have historically been relatively undeveloped, the Chief Minister said that these targeted initiatives had sparked significant investment interest. He added that he personally had one-on-one conversations with 38 businesspeople to discuss investment opportunities in a variety of industries, such as advanced manufacturing, electronics and IT, data centers, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, defense manufacturing, renewable energy equipment, and textiles and technical textiles.
