The Odisha police celebrated its 87th foundation day at the 6th Battalion, Cuttack premises. The Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Sunil Bansal was the chief guest at the event and felicitated two parade platoons who performed in today’s parade. As many as 10 police platoons took part in the parade.
Odisha Police now has 72,145 employees, one-third of whom are women, added reports. On April 1, 1936, the Odisha Police was formed with the formation of a separate state of Odisha. The Bihar state police were separated and The Odisha State Police was formed.
In 2021, the Odisha Police has been honored for the dedication and dedicated service of the police officers.
