The association threatened on Wednesday to take their buses off the road starting on December 1st in order to go on a state-wide strike. Additionally, bus owners have made the decision to stage an agitation on November 22 in Bhubaneswar in front of the Odisha Assembly. The decision was made by the Private Bus Owners Association today in Bhawanipatna after a significant meeting. After the Location Accessible Multimodal Initiative’s bus services from blocks to districts were introduced, there was discord.
The association also requests payment and an exemption from further taxes. The association had declared that they would begin their strike again on October 30, but after speaking with State Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu, the uproar was postponed.
