Approximately 69.34% of voters in Odisha cast ballots in the second round of the state’s simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, which were held on Monday. With voting taking place in 35 assembly seats and five Lok Sabha constituencies—Sundargarh, Aska, Bolangir, Kandhamal, and Bargarh—Odisha effectively wrapped up the second phase of polling on Monday.
With 76.20% of the vote, the Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency was followed by Bolangir with 71. 46%. The following approximate voter turnout rates apply to Parliamentary Constituencies: Aska 60.78%, Bargarh 76.20%, Bolangir 71.46%, Kandhamal 70.37%, and Sundargarh 67.74%.

It is important to remember that 265 persons filed nominations for 35 assembly constituencies, while up to 40 candidates filed to run in the Lok Sabha elections in Aska, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Bargarh, and Sundergarh. Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Biju Janata Dal, Bikram Keshari Arukha, Niranjan Pujari, Pradip Kumar Amat, Tukuni Sahu, and Rita Sahu are among the notable candidates for the assembly elections.
