Odisha Sees Further Dip In Daily COVID Cases

After a steep rise of daily positive COVID cases for nearly 25 days, Odisha is seeing a slight yet gradual fall in daily COVID cases. In the last 24 hours as per the reports of the I and PR department, the state witnessed 7291 new COVID positive cases. Since January 21, Odisha has not seen cases more than 10,000 new COVID cases on a daily basis.

Out of 7291 cases, 954 cases were from 0-18 age groups. As per the trend since day 1, Khorda reported the highest number of cases with 1705 number followed by Sundargarh (646), Cuttack (561), Balasore (343), Rayagada (295), and Sonepur (282). 

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 5 people lost their lives due to COVID 19. The details of which are shared below-

  1. A 57 years old Female of Balasore District.

2. A 45 years old Female of Bhubaneswar.

3. A 13 years old Girl of Cuttack District. 
4. A 78 years old Female of Keonjhar District who was also suffering from Asthma, Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

5. A 35 years old Female of Sundargarh District.
