In a shocking and brutal incident, an innocent 5-year-old kid was raped by a man in Puri. The incident happened around 11 am when a man who is in close acquaintance with the kid took her to the rooftop of the house where he mercilessly raped her. When the kid started shouting the mother rushed to her. However, the man got away.
The girl was initially admitted to the Puri district headquarters hospital. However, later she was shifted to a hospital in Cuttack where currently her condition is stable. The incident happened in the Town Police station area of Puri.
As the accused hails from Jagatsinghpur, a team has been mobilized to search him in his native district. Similarly, another team has been deputed to Chandanpur and Chhaitana area of Gop block where the relatives of the accused lived. Moreover, two teams have been carrying out raids at different places in Puri town. However, there has been no trace of the accused so far.
