The Hockey World Cup Utsav will be celebrated in five municipal corporations, including Cuttack’s historic Barabati Stadium.
The Hockey World Cup trophy will be on display throughout the country, including in the majority of Odisha’s districts.
This programme will include students from schools and colleges, and steps will be taken to develop athletic abilities in all people, particularly students.
These decisions were made today at a meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during a review of preparations for the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup-2023.
From January 13 to 29, the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup-2023 will be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.
This prestigious tournament will feature a total of 16 teams. The tournament will be played in 24 matches in Bhubaneswar and 20 in Rourkela.
