One Lakh Fine imposed by Indian Tech. Company for disturbing co worker on their unplug time

Receiving “essential” calls, messages, or emails, especially when they are on vacation, is one of the most annoying things that may happen to a worker. It’s interesting that one Indian corporation has given consideration to this significant issue so that its staff can take uninterrupted vacations.

The fantasy sports company Dream11 has a policy called Dream 11 Unplug that stipulates that any employee who contacts another employee while it is “UNPLUG” time would be subject to a heavy fine of Rs 1 Lakh. No matter what their position, when they joined the company, or any other criteria, everyone in the organisation is entitled to Unplug time.

The purpose of the policy, according to the corporation that created it, is to prevent employees from being interrupted by work-related matters when they are spending time with their families. The company thinks that this could improve the staff’s quality of life and productivity in addition to giving them some well-deserved downtime. In order to ensure that their company is not dependent on either of them, Dream 11 founders Harsh Jain and Bhavit Seth informed cnbc.com that they have embraced this philosophy.According to a testimonial, “Unplugged let me take the required strategic break and come back stronger to play the remaining innings more successfully.”
