Orissa High Court Allows Bali Yatra On Upper Ground With Specific Guidelines

This year’s Bali Yatra festival will be held at Cuttack’s upper and lower grounds after receiving approval from the Orissa High Court. This choice comes with particular requirements to guarantee that revelers have a seamless and secure experience. To control the crowds, the local government will build dedicated roadways and forbid vendors from erecting their stalls on sidewalks and roadside areas.

According to attorney Bibhuti Bhusan Choudhury, the court has made it clear that to avoid traffic, the government would build a green corridor for ambulances and install a one-way road next to the Gadagadia temple. Cantonment Road will also be designated as a secure area for guardians, buses, and schoolchildren. Vendors will be moved to a certain location to do business.

Beginning on Kartika Purnima, the Bali Yatra celebration usually lasts for seven days and includes traditional festivities, food vendors, and cultural presentations. With the court’s blessing, the festival this year is expected to be a spectacular event.
