Outrage over obscene dance steps during a Kali Puja programme broke out on Friday night in the Charampa neighbourhood of the Bhadrak district. A lady audience member threw shoes in anger at a female dancer before storming the stage and objecting to the dancing steps.
Sources claim that Charampa hosted a cultural event to commemorate the fortunate Kali Puja. Rajnandini Opera Party, a well-known “opera” group, was invited to captivate the audience.
The show opened with a record-breaking dance by a female dancer, as usual. The dance actions, however, offended a female observer. The woman known as Mandakini Panda first hurled a slipper at the dancer after a few minutes of observing it.She then charged the stage to stop the girl from performing. Soon, additional Opera party members came in and made an effort to calm the woman down. If the problem wasn’t resolved, the programme had to be stopped. The woman was eventually calmed down by the organisers and Opera party members, and the programme then started up again.When reached, Rajnandini Opera Party Manager Pradeep Kumar Mishra stated, “Just because of one woman, there was a massive scuffle. No one else in the audience spoke. It seems to me like a marketing stunt.
Rani Priyadarshini, a female dancer, on the other hand, said, “I was at my maximum. Since I’m a girl and am aware of my limitations, I haven’t done anything. Despite being an item girl, I am aware of my limits.”I didn’t like the way she was dancing, so I objected. I’m not going to comment on their clothing since I have nothing against contemporary attire. The woman who objected to the dance steps, Mandakini Panda, said, “But beyond a point, she violated all the bounds and I was forced to act because of her filthy dance moves.
