Nabin and 5T The Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Baramunda was visited by Odisha Chairman V. K. Pandian today. He assessed the various ongoing works for the project’s timely completion. The project will be a vital piece of transit infrastructure in the state capital that will benefit the people of Odisha as well as those in other states. When Pandian visited, he asked about amenities like waiting areas, restrooms, good sanitation, bus capacity, the planned Ahaar center, installation of adequate lighting, etc. that would make commuters more comfortable.
Additionally, he counseled the agencies to implement intelligent IT-driven infrastructure, create a unique atmosphere for the tourists using local artwork, and make sure idle bus parking, bus driver dormitories, and ample parking for autorickshaws, taxis, two-wheelers, etc. are all made available to the guests. Also, he requested that all relevant parties be included, including the OSRTC, the taxi association, and the bus owners’ association. He gave the go-ahead for officials to finish all of the ongoing construction projects by the end of the year.
During the visit were BDA VC Balwant Singh, representatives from Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), BDA, and the construction partner company Bridge and Roof Company (India) Limited.
