Pankaj Lochan Mohanty Set To Become OCA President

As the only contender to submit his nomination for the top position, Pankaj Lochan Mohanty is set to take over as the next president of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA). After careful consideration, Mohanty’s nomination as OCA’s current vice president was accepted, making him the sole candidate for the post.

It is anticipated that Mohanty’s election would be formally announced during the Special General Meeting on February 23. Following the resignation of the previous president, Pranab Prakash Das, in December of last year, this development has occurred. In 2022, Das, an Odisha-based Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and former minister, assumed the role of OCA president. Interestingly, Mohanty previously held the position of executive president of OCA from 2019 to 2022. His return to the top post is likely to bring continuity and stability to the organization.
