The woman’s live-in partner used a sharp object to sever her throat and wrist after a fight about trivial matters turned violent, according to the police.A team of police officers was assembled by the Kongaon police to look into the murder of a 36-year-old lady, whose body was discovered on Monday night after someone noticed a bad odour coming from the room and alerted the local authorities.One squad was sent to West Bengal on the direction of Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Pawar to search for the suspect whose name had been made public.
Madhu Prajapati, 35, a resident of Kongaon’s Rajput Nivas, has been identified as the deceased. She was divorcéed and sharing a floor of the Rajput Building with the accused person in whom she was living as her flatmate.According to the police source, the event happened this year between September 15 and September 18. Police were called when nearby homeowners noticed a bad odour coming from a sealed door.When the cops arrived, they busted open the locked door and discovered a woman’s decomposing body in the kitchen. To continue the process, the body was brought to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
