Popular Odia Singer Humane Sagar Passes Away

Humane Sagar, a well-known Odia playback singer, died on Monday night while receiving treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar. He was thirty-six. Dr. Srikant Behera, an intensivist and ECMO expert at AIIMS, claims that despite vigorous and cutting-edge care from a group of specialized physicians, Humane Sagar’s multi-organ failure condition did not improve. At 9:00 p.m., the singer passed away.

At 1:10 pm on October 14, Humane Sagar was brought to AIIMS emergency room in a severe condition. Afterwards, he was transferred to the Medical ICU for additional assessment. Physicians verified that he had bilateral pneumonia, dilated cardiomyopathy with severe left ventricular systolic dysfunction, acute-on-chronic liver failure, and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome.

Humane Sagar, who is well-known for his catchy voice and hit songs, gained notoriety with the movie “Ishq Tu Hi Tu”‘s title tune. He has performed hundreds of Odia movie and bhajan songs during his career, and he has contributed to a number of albums, such as “Tuma Otha Tale,” “Niswasa,” “Bekhudee,” and “Chehera” (2017). The Odia music and film industries are in sorrow following the singer’s unexpected death. In remembrance of a musician who had made a lasting impression on Odia music, fans from all around the state turned to social media to express their sorrow and offer condolences.
