Vindicating(PPL contributes Rs 1.5 cr to OSDMA to fight Covid) its presence yet again as one of the most responsible corporate houses in the state, Paradeep Phosphates Ltd (PPL) has contributed Rs 1.5 crore to the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).
The contribution was handed over to PK Jena, Managing Director, OSDMA in the presence of senior PPL executives– Jagannath Khuntia, General Manager (human resource), Sudhir Mishra, chief (corporate affairs) and Soumyashree Om Prakash Sahu, general manager (CSR).
PPL’s(PPL contributes Rs 1.5 cr to OSDMA to fight Covid) contribution will be significant in combating the spread of a deadly pandemic that has assailed 211 nations, infecting over three million people and resulting in more than two lakh human casualties.
India too has not been insulated from the Covid-19 shock as the count of positive cases has escalated to over 33,000 with more than 1200 people succumbing to the virulent pandemic. In Odisha, 156 Covid positive cases have been detected.
The state government has tackled this unprecedented viral contagion on a war footing with only one deceased(PPL contributes Rs 1.5 cr to OSDMA to fight Covid) to this date. Jajpur and Khurda account for the most number of infected cases.
