Dhenkanal – In the context of the world-famous Gaja Lakshmi Puja in Dhenkanal, a preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Mr. Ashish Ishwar Patil on Saturday at the Zilla Parishad Conference Hall to discuss the organization of the National-Level Pallishree Mela.
During the meeting, the Collector urged for cooperation from all concerned departments to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the national-level event. This year, the Pallishree Mela will be held at the ground in Mahishapat from October 8 to October 14, and it will be open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM.
The mela will see participation from entrepreneurs of 30 districts, along with businesses from outside the state. A total of 200 stalls will be set up this year. From a security perspective, the event is also being insured.
For the convenience of visitors, arrangements are being made for temporary toilets, cash withdrawal centers, fire safety measures, and drinking water facilities.
Visitors will also get to enjoy traditional Odia cuisine as well as specialties from other states at the food stalls this year. The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Mr. Abhinav Sonkar, IAS Probationer Mr. Bhagata Samal Kalyan Rao, Additional District Magistrate (General) Mr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Mr. Lalit Mohan Behera, Sub-Collector Mr. Bibudha Gardanayak, Additional Development & Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Mr. Ashish Ranjan Sahoo along with other concerned departmental officers.
