The honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi had a meeting with Draupadi Murmu today. Draupadi Murmu has been elected by Bhartiya Janata Party as the presential candidate.
PM Modi said her Presidential nomination has been appreciated across India by all sections of society. “Her understanding of grassroots problems and vision for India’s development is outstanding,” PM Modi said in a tweet.
Earlier, PM Modi praised Droupadi Murmu for “devoting her life to serving society and empowering the poor”. PM Modi also said that he is “confident she will be a great President of our nation.” The BJP-led NDA announced Droupadi Murmu as its Presidential candidate on Tuesday evening.
