Monsoon is the season of torrential showers of rain. As the heavy drops patter down window panes, life seems to be almost still for a second. However, the motion of life really doesn’t stop, does it? The adversities of rain are mainly experienced by the people belonging to the lower strata of the society. For example, during heavy monsoons in Mumbai the people who live on the streets suffer the most. They are at a loss of losing their homes. They only have the streets as their sole abode, and they truly become homeless in the truest essence of the word.
People who live under tin sheds lose their homes at times, most of the times. Kolkata often witnesses high showers of rain. Streets get flooded with water, making travel difficult. Cars and buses travel through a sea of water, it seems! The adversity of rain affects people as per their economic status. Individuals belonging to the higher strata of the society travel in air-conditioned cars. Rains are indeed a blessing sometimes, especially in drenched summers of May. Months like April and May, face the worst of summers. Summers and monsoons are both fun and complicated.
