Regarding seat negotiations for the Lok Sabha elections, SP advises India’s ally Cong to “accept or reject it.”

Akhilesh Yadav stated on Monday that the two parties’ discussions over seat sharing are progressing well. For the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Samajwadi Party and Congress, its coalition partner, have ended negotiations over seat sharing.

With a last offer of 17 seats, the Akhilesh Yadav-led party has now thrown the ball into the hands of the Congress, as HT has learned. On Monday, the day Rahul Gandhi arrived in Amethi, the offer was made to the Congress. The Samajwadi Party’s chief negotiator said HT that the fact that the Congress has not replied to the offer indicates that the historic party is rejecting it.”Right now, there are discussions taking place. They have provided lists, and we have also given them the list.

The Samajwadi Party would join its Nyaya Yatra as soon as seat distribution is complete, the head of the SP had declared. The SP unveiled its list of 11 candidates for the elections a few hours later.
The failure of the coalition would be the second largest blow to the Congress after Mamata Banerjee, the leader of the Trinamool Congress, announced her intention to run for 42 seats in West Bengal alone.
