Sivani Sangita is an Indian Odia actress who works predominantly in Ollywood Film Industry. Having worked as a child artist in various Odia daily soaps (TV serials) and films, she got her major breakthrough in 2017 as a leading actress in the movie “Sister Sridevi” co-staring Odia Actor Babushan Mohanty.
She started working in the Ollywood Film Industry at the age of six, her biggest support being her maternal grandmother. It had been her grandmother’s dream to see her as a successful actress and was much determined to achieve that dream.She had recently released her new film ‘Guddu Gangster’ which is also a great hit.
Sivani Sangita is also a professional dancer trained in Western and Odissi from Odisha Dance Academy. She was trained under Padma Shri holder Aruna Mohanty. Shivani is also an alumni of Delhi Public School, Kalinga, Bhubaneswar, and is currently pursuing Masters at KIIT, in Journalism and Mass Communication. She also took musical lessons during the COVID pandemic, as the film shootings were closed.
1.Can you define who is real Shivani Sangita according to you?
Real SIVANI SANGITA is in my own opinion is very innocent girl, who likes to be positive and always like feel happy about everything.
2.Could you please take us through your Ollywood journey?
I started as a child artist from a daily soap from Uttardayee on OTV and then it started Debi in Tarang, Badhu in Sarthak and in the mean time I was also doing a few films as a child artist like Mitare Mita, Pahili Raja, Mita Basichi Mun Bhoota Sathire, Gud Boy, Lekhu Lekhu Lekhi Deli. And then I paused for a year or two, and it resumed.
3. By the way, who is your inspiration of your acting career?
I try to learn from everyone, but especially from those that portray performing in a really natural way; those people are my inspiration, and there are many of them.
4. You have recently released your new film which is also a great hit so can you share some of your crazy moments?
It’s about a person who weighs around 150 kilograms, but the hero is Sailendra Samantray, who weighs around 50 kilograms. So there was the movie’s genuine twist, and it was handled in a really amusing manner. It has all the spice, such as comedy, emotion, and a fight. So, sure, it’s extremely entertaining.
5. If you took a rebirth what you want to be?
Because I was able to become an actress, I was able to pursue other careers that I would not have been able to do in real life.So I always wish to become an actress.
6.As your new movie had a great hit there are some questions in my mind, What drew you to your role in Guddu Gangster?
I was reluctant to say yes to Guddu Gangster because I was unsure whether to say either yes or no because I am very picky about my scripts, subjects, and projects.So there were numerous additional reasons for which I was willing to say yes or no.After much deliberation, I decided to go ahead with the film.There also happened to be several novel experiments, which drew my attention.And, thankfully, it drew an audience, and it is now a blockbuster.
7. Do you feel Ollywood movies are getting shrinked ?
Industry has not shrinked but it was little bit slower down I can say during Covid period but after that this Raja Two Big movies has been released Guddu Gangster and Love in London. The industry has again picked up.
