Fraud Case Of Rs 1.24 Crore Against Akash Institute In Bhubaneswar

A fraud case has been registered against a liaison official and Akash Institute in Bhubaneswar at the Kharavela Nagar Police Station by a private firm.

According to the reports, the private firm known as A6 Entertainment
alleged that the firm carried out several works related to advertisement and webinars for the promotion of the Akash Institute but the latter has not paid the company since 2020.

Further, the report added that Subham Mohanty, liaison officer hired the private firm for endorsing Akash Institute and initially the company was initially paying for the advertisements but then no reimbursement has been done by Mohanty or the institute for the last several months.

Subash Chandra Dash, the complainant stated that they have lodged a fraud case of Rs 1.24 crore against Akash Institute and Subham Mohanty. Mohanty gave them assignments like conducting webinars, animation works and other advertisement works of the institute. They were initially paid but now the pending amount is over Rs 1 crore. However, neither Mohanty nor the institute is paying heed to the issue.

However, A B Singh, the director of Akash Institute in Bhubaneswar, has rebuffed the allegations and stated that they have come to know from the bank that a fake account as ‘Akash Educational Services’ has been opened. The account has no authorised signatory and they are unable to understand what short of webinars and animation works they have done which costs them a crore.
