In yet another disappointing development the most anticipated movie of 2022, RRR has been indefinitely postponed. Directed by the famous Bahubali director SS Rajamouli, the movie has been made with a massive budget of 400 crores and was expected to release at the PAN India level in several languages on January 7. The movie stars Junior NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles. The movie had a huge expectation and was expected to get a revenue of more than 1000 Crores at Box Office Worldwide.

However, India has entered into third wave COVID zone. The number of cases is doubling itself every day. Moreover, the deadly Omicron threat is also affecting the whole of India. Thereby majority of the cinema halls all across the country are either shut or will be shut. Therefore, the makers had no chance but to postpone the film till everything comes in control.

The decision to defer the release date was announced on the official Twitter account of the RRR film. The post read, “Keeping the best interests of all the involved parties in mind, we are forced to postpone our film. Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love #RRRPPostopened #RRRMovie”
