Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has officially landed in New York, all set to make his much-anticipated debut at the prestigious Met Gala 2025. The actor, known globally for his charisma and cinematic legacy, surprised fans with his modest arrival at the airport—without a large entourage and carrying just one suitcase.
In several fan-shared videos circulating on social media, Shah Rukh was seen exiting the airport terminal accompanied only by his longtime manager, Pooja Dadlani. The scene marked a stark contrast from his usual high-profile arrivals in India and elsewhere, where he’s typically surrounded by heavy security and a larger team.
Dressed casually yet stylishly in a white T-shirt layered with a grey jacket, denim jeans, sunglasses, and a crossbody bag, the actor took time to greet fans warmly—shaking hands and even hugging one admirer before making his way to the car.
Shah Rukh’s appearance at the Met Gala, scheduled for May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, marks his first time attending the global fashion spectacle. This year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” is inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, and will showcase a curated collection of garments, art, and photography exploring Black dandyism and style.
Joining Shah Rukh on the red carpet will be fellow Indian celebrities Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, both also making their Met Gala debuts.
On the work front, fans can look forward to Shah Rukh’s upcoming film King, directed by Siddharth Anand and co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan. The film, backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix, is slated for a global release in 2026.
