It is a good day for Shreyas Iyer. KKR have finally and officially announced their captain and it is going to be none other than the young sensational batter from India Shreyas Iyer. When Shreyas Iyer was picked in auction for a whopping amount of 12.25 Crores, it was very obvious that KKR might make him the captain and today, they have officially announced it.
Shreyas Iyer was a part of the resurgence of Delhi where he was made the captain. He under the coach and guidance of Ricky Pointing took Delhi to top 3 twice in two years and also led the Delhi franchise to its first final. However, a shoulder injury at the start of last year meant he was out of the first half of IPL, thereby making Rishabh Pant as captain.
However, even when Shreyas was fit Delhi by strange means decided to go with Rishabh Pant as captain, which opted Shreyas out of Delhi team and now he will be captaining the famous Kolkata franhise.
