Team India have started their South Africa Tour with a bang. This is the first time they have won a test at Centurion, a place which is described as fortress for South Africa. While India will look to further dominate the test series and win it’s first ever series against South Africa, the series will be soon followed by a 3 ODI series.
The Indian selectors have made their squad for the ODI team. Unfortunately Rohit couldn’t make the tour because of his injury, thereby India have made Lokesh Rahul as stand in Captain. Moreover Jasprit Bumrah has been appointed as the vice captain of Indian team. Virat Kohli is available and Mohammed Shami has been rested for the ODI series.
The biggest inclusion is of Ravichandran Again who gets into the ODI team after nearly 4 and half years. Also included in the squad is the CSK opener and Maharashtra player Ruturaj Gaikwad who has been in phenomenal domestic form.

The 18-member squad includes opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan, Ruturaj Gaekwad, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan. Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer will form India’s strong middle order.
Ravichandran Ashwin has been recalled. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and offie Washington Sundar will be the other two spinners in the series.
The pacers are Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj. Mohammed Shami has been rested for the series.
