Anil Jaisinghani, a bookie accused of attempting to bribe and blackmail Amruta Fadnavis, has been granted bail under the Prevention of Corruption Act by a special court. Aniksha Jaisinghani, who had previously been granted bail, was also detained in connection with the case. The father-daughter team allegedly sought to intimidate Fadnavis into paying them 10 crore by pretending to be a fashion designer and winning her trust.Anil Jaisinghani, a bookie who was detained for allegedly attempting to bribe and blackmail Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, was granted bail on Monday by a special court operating under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to police, Aniksha, who was posing as a fashion designer, had become friends with Amruta Fadnavis in November 2021 and gained her trust by claiming that she had lost her mother and that she was the only person her family could depend on. According to the FIR, the complainant agreed when Aniksha asked her to promote her label by wearing it. According to the allegation, Aniksha even went to the deputy CM’s home and appeared at public gatherings where Amruta Fadnavis was present.
