There are very few people who have an interest in the field of writing. Specially co authoring and authoring books at a very young age is generally rare. Let us meet Khushi Jain who is very talented and made her mark in the field of writing. We are sure this interview will inspire a lot of minds.
Q1) Tell us about your first experience in the field of writing.

Ans : Hey Everyone as an author I have traveled quite a long journey so far and much more to go.
I first started writing when I was in class 1st std. I wrote a story then titled as Sentiments of Animals which was a love story of dogs. Gradually I developed interest in poetry writing . Initially my poems were not upto the mark for school magazine but I didn’t give up and continued writing and trying to get my work published in school magazine and then finally one day my poem got published in the magazine. That in itself was an achievement for a 12 year old girl. After that I gained some recognition and was recommended by my friends to get my work published on social media. So I approached a few pages like Soul Tales , Quotes Life Official and many more. My work went viral on these pages and I received my due recognition and admiration. People started appreciating my writeups and poetry and I got established as a writer . I started getting offers for getting published in various anthologies and then I got my work published in 15+ anthologies. After that I decided to compile my own anthology with the title The Whims and Vims of Life under Rosewood publications. Further I worked with Times of India and wrote articles for them. I received an award for best poetry from a USA based Publishing house for my poems in one of the anthologies. My next stop was getting my solo book published! So I gathered all my poems written so far and went onto publish a collection of the bests among them. The name of my solo book is Chronicles of Emotions. For now am also a part of writing community Micropoems which encourages us to write everyday for a particular theme . I have a few more projects in line which am working on. Besides that am also writing a novel . Hope to complete it and bring it to the door of the readers soon. Thank You.!
Q2) Tell us about the solo book you have written and also share the link of purchase.

Ans : Chronicles of Emotions is my first solo book. It’s a collection of my poems which I have written over the span of time. It’s curated with all the love passion and hopes. Through this book you can see the reflection of teenage Khushi. But surprisingly these poems are not only for teens but also for everyone- teens and young adults. I have deliberately used every day language for the poems because I want these poems to become the voice of masses. These are the poems written in the heart’s language. I don’t want my readers rushing here and there searching for dictionaries or using google to comprehend the poems. I want my readers to feel a direct connect with these poems and feel their suppressed emotions, the unexpressed thoughts deeply and let the raw unfiltered version of themselves be expressed. My aim was when the readers will read these poems they should feel that its their own inner voice talking to them. So, I have used the language of the masses and not the language of the elites.
This book talks about various emotions we all feel at different stages of our life, the various reactions we have regarding different situations and how they leave an impact on our minds, hearts and souls. How they make us revaluate our own beliefs. Somewhere this book gives you a warm fuzzy feeling of love, somewhere it will give you a reality check, somewhere it will motivate you to never give up and somewhere it will provide you wisdom. Whatever it makes you feel but it’s a message from one soul to the other. Its a rollercoaster ride of emotions which might make you cry, laugh, reminisce, introspect, reflect and fall in love!!!!…
So, what are you waiting for???? Go and grab a copy and give it a read. I will be looking forward to all the reviews. The link is down below…

Q3) There are several authors who write books on different topics. How do you keep yourself motivated at such an young age. Tell us about your support system.

Ans : That’s true it’s not easy to stay motivated specially in a field like Writing. There are so many authors writing on various topics in their own ways but still we can’t avoid similarities in everyone’s work. No matter how creative one gets there is a high probability of one’s work being similar or sharing something similar with some other literary work and that can be even with a century old work written in some relic language. And as an artist an author we always want to write something different, something which has never been written about, something unique and original and this has always been a struggle for all of us! So yes this also leads me to writers block at times but that doesn’t leads me to give up on writing. I read books watch movies, take a walk , talk to people , try to connect with myself, feel every bit of myself. This leads me to channelise my emotions in a better way and most importantly I recall all the love and appreciation the acknowledgement I have received so far for my work and that’s it for me. It brings the writer in me alive and keeps me going. My major support system is my spirit of never giving up no matter what . I have a burning passion in me to go after everything that I want and get it and this makes me unstoppable. What keeps me going the most is the love the support I receive from each and everyone that keeps me sane and makes me keep thriving. Last not the least ofcourse my mother is my greatest support and thanks to her for shaping me into what I am today.
Q4) Tell us more about your hobbies. Do you think hobbies keeps a person cheerful and happy ?
Ans : Hobbies indeed keeps one rejuvenated and in action. In a hectic life like todays it has become extremely important for each one of us to find some time for what we love to do , something beyond our goals , something for which we are not under any boundation or pressure and it helps in breaking down the monotony . If we engage ourselves in our hobbies it leads to exploring the extremities of how creative and innovative we can be and this further helps us to show up in a better way at our work and in our personal life. While we follow our hobbies we are in our own element and personal space, we let loose ourselves and just enjoy it and that’s the best thing about hobbies that it brings our authentic self out. My hobbies are acting , singing, reading, interacting with various people and building connections, speaking on various topics as I have a good command at communication. And I love dancing when I dance I feel alive , it makes me break loose of all the shackles boundations and everything that bothers me. When I dance I let my soul take over me. I lose myself in dance, besides that I love listening to music and swimming. I am extremely close to nature and there is a great influence of water element over me. Water brings me back to life. It makes even a dull moment a chirpy one for me. When I float in a pool I feel free and at peace as if everything is perfect and beautiful.
Q5)There are several young authors who want to take up writing but then feel underconfident. What is your advice to them ?
Ans : It’s pretty normal to feel nervous and mousy in the beginning. We all once were amateurs and in their place. We too have experienced self doubts and questioned our capabilities. I have often landed up in self doubt and to till this date I experience it but fortunately I have people around me who keeps making me believe in myself and also I have myself too. Whenever I feel nervous or unsure I just do a little pep talk with myself and it’s all okay. I motivate myself and just go for it. I believe that everything has its firsts and if you really want to go after something you will have to someday and then even at that time you will lack confidence thinking it to be your first so why not do it today? Why not question your negative thoughts and self doubts and prove them wrong ? The youngsters and beginners feel hesitant to go after their urge to be an author because right from the start they have been told that there is no stable and specific career in Writing industry, either go for jobs or be a Dr etc as cliche as it sounds still most of the parents believe the same. But I would rather say its on us to challenge those beliefs and show the world that how great it feels to be an author! It not only brings us name fame stability but also its our way we can express ourselves voice our opinions. I have just one advice to give whenever you will start something new something different from what the masses does there will be people to demotivate you, criticize you or even ask you to not go for writing or any other passion of yours but you don’t have to listen to them. You need to learn how to silence your inner critic and the world’s criticism turn a deaf ear and continue doing what you want to no matter what , just go after it. Don’t think about success or failure if it’s making you happy and you have a burning desire for it..Go for it. What worst can happen? You might lose but that won’t be the end of your life no? Instead take it as a lesson that had you been confident and have shown little faith in yourself you would have won. Because as simple as it sounds if you won’t believe in yourself how can you expect the world to believe in you? If you won’t believe that you can win or be successful how can you expect others to see your potential? It all starts with you it’s all within you. Have faith in yourself believe yourself and go for it. Who knows you are the next success story.!
